Abortion Alternatives/Options Consultation

By meeting the immediate and longer-term needs of women and families in pregnancy related circumstances, APRC conveys the heart and hands of Jesus Christ by sharing the gospel in both word and deed.

Our staff and volunteer consultants provide one-on-one support and compassionate concern for all that come through our doors. Some are considering abortion. Many are overwhelmed by their circumstances or may be pressured by others to choose abortion. By listening, caring and offering tangible assistance, our trained volunteer consultants communicate a safe place of acceptance and encouragement.

We offer free pregnancy testing, education about fetal development, information about abortion procedures and risks, adoption options, and referrals for free ultrasound screening. In addition, we offer resources and referrals that address a woman’s immediate needs and concerns and present positive alternatives to abortion. For those clients that are single and sexually active, we promote the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits that are connected with a life-style of sexual abstinence outside of marriage.

Right Turns Program

Right Turns, an earn-as-you-learn program, is designed to provide support, preparation and tangible assistance to clients who have chosen to carry their babies to delivery. Parenting and childbirth classes, mentoring, emotional support and spiritual education are just a few of the ways APRC helps women during their pregnancy. Participants in Right Turns are awarded vouchers that they may exchange for items in our Baby Shoppe.

Hemline
Abortion Healing and Restoration

Hemline is a Bible Study program that brings healing and restoration for the emotional and spiritual after-effects of abortion. Hemline offers a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment for recovery.

Future Services

In the early fall of 2008, APRC will be offering free, on-site ultrasound screening to determine pregnancy, fetal viability and gestational age. Ultrasound capability enables women to see the reality of their own baby and further empowers them to make informed decisions.

The future plans of APRC include the development of a ministry for men, job readiness program for our clients, bible studies, and life-skills classes. We also hope to expand our medical services to include STD testing and limited pre-natal care.
